Museum Card with Republic of Turkey More than 350 museums and archaeological sites under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the National Palaces and Çanakkale Area Directorate can be visited without limit throughout the year. However, the following points should be considered when visiting natural and cultural heritage sites and sensitive areas:

  • Be environmentally conscious,
  • Do not litter or throw similar things in natural conservation areas,
  • Do not engage in activities that harm animals and plants in their natural habitats,
  • Do not enter areas where endangered species are under strict protection and areas where entry is prohibited for general safety reasons,
  • Do not engage in any activities that pollute natural areas, damage flora, or disturb fauna,
  • Do not light fires in natural areas or damage trees and plants,
  • Do not participate in activities that harm animals and natural areas,
  • Do not allow pets to damage landscape areas,
  • Do not harm, collect, uproot, or cut rare, endemic, endangered, or potentially endangered natural plant species within protected areas,
  • Do not disturb wild animals. Behaviors that will frighten or disturb should be avoided,
  • Eggs of wild animals should not be collected and their nests should not be disturbed,
  • Wildlife should not be monitored or destroyed,
  • The Gediz Delta has a Bird Sanctuary under the Ramsar Convention. In this protected area, behaviors that will harm birds should be avoided and the environment should not be damaged,
  • Activities that will harm birds should not be carried out, individuals should not be disturbed, their nests and offspring should not be touched,
  • Bird observation and photography should not be done during the birds’ breeding season.
